I agree.. The only 2 things I can think of at the moment that would make
me want to buy it. Are: Ability to compile for other 68K processors,
and the fact that it`s constantly in development. I think it lacks too much
in this early stage. What about hardware bashing commands?? Some people
with naff processors may want to use the full power of their Amiga.
PB has absolutely NO system unfriendly commands. Some may disagree,
but I think giving the user the choice of programming style is the best,
they may want to target a game at users with a low-end machine using
ALL the effects availible. (I dont suppose this is under development?)
One thing that would be a good idea for PB though, is to have a command/set
of commands that deal with screens in BASIC form, so that utilities can
be written with ease for the GFX card users... I`m not talking about just
opening a screen the way blitz does. I mean having an extra parameter
to make it public.. 1 command to open a screen requester..etc,.. I`m supprised
these wern't implemented in blitz really. Opening a screen for public use
with a GFX card and the GTLib in Blitz can be a right pain in the jacksy :)
I`m not saying it`s not a brilliant package, because it is, and no doubt
it`ll get even better, with it being in constant development and all..
It just doesn`t have anything MAJOR on blitz that warrents spending
would make me want to buy it. :) But I`m sure it`s not fully implemented
yet is it?
